Position Overview: Koverage Insurance Group is looking for an experienced and outgoing Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our growing team! The Commercial Lines Department operates as a supportive, team environment. The main objective of this role is to generate quote for new business opportunities requested by our repeat clients, referrals, or acquired through our producers. It is important to note that this position has limited customer service duties.

Work Arrangement: This is a fully remote position. If desired, there is an opportunity to work in a hybrid capacity from any of our office locations in New Britain, Waterford, Enfield, or Clinton, CT.

Professional Responsibilities

  • Markets client's accounts to negotiate and secure the most appropriate insurance coverage based upon clients’ needs for both new and renewal business.
  • Oversees clients’ accounts by responding to inquiries, explaining coverages and premiums, informing of policy or billing changes, and facilitating the claims process between clients and the adjuster.
  • Maintains great working relationships with multiple insurance carriers to obtain quotes, binders, endorsements, etc.
  • Researches and resolves all moderate and complex customer service problems relating to coverage issues, billing discrepancies, etc. in a timely manner.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date account and policy information in the Agency Management System, while maintaining a current suspense, reviewing insurance policies and endorsements for accuracy, reviewing contracts and special certificates of insurance requests for compliance and responding to the insured.
  • Maintains industry knowledge of developing trends regarding carrier underwriting appetite and pricing changes.

Qualifications And Requirements

  • 3-5 years Commercial Lines Small Business Account Management experience.
  • Active Connecticut Property & Casualty License.
  • High-level of interpersonal skills with a client-service mind-set.
  • Well organized and detail-oriented.
  • Quick learner that thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills, with a solutions driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Proficient with use of Microsoft Office Suite and products
  • A passion for being part of a team that drives our company to industry leadership
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
