Senior Dynamics (X++) AX 2009 Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Dynamics AX 2009 Engineer with expertise in X++ for a maintenance and development role. You will play a key role in solving issues and creating digital solutions for business operations.

This is an end-to-end role, so we are looking for a proactive engineer who can take ownership of problems, investigate thoroughly, and implement lasting solutions.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience with Dynamics AX 2009, with strong expertise in X++;
• Experience with database querying and the ability to understand and navigate large databases (e.g., 6TB, 5,000 tables);
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to finding root causes of issues;
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and understand integrations and data flows;
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to refactor code, understand complex systems, and troubleshoot efficiently;
• Ability to manage and prioritize both development tasks and incident resolution;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
• At least an Upper-intermediate level of English is a must-have.

Will be a plus:

• Working experience with D365.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and resolve issues within the Dynamics AX 2009 environment by investigating code, querying databases, and collaborating with other teams to find the best solutions;
• Develop and maintain end-to-end solutions for the business, ensuring that both development and maintenance processes are optimized;
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs, clarify problem descriptions, and deliver high-quality digital solutions;
• Investigate, debug, and refactor existing code, spending time to thoroughly understand the system architecture before implementing fixes;
• Ensure the system's availability and performance for core users;
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of system performance and reliability;
