PRIMARY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Position Title : Senior Software Engineer

Department : Salesforce

Division : SAP COE

Location : Bangalore, India

Immediate Supervisor : Manager, Salesforce

A Senior Software Engineer is a professional responsible for directing software development projects, producing clean code, and leading a team of engineers. Should possess extensive experience in software development, project management, and have in-depth knowledge of programming languages and databases.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of complex Salesforce solutions, including customizations, integrations, and enhancements, with a primary focus on Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, partner cloud, and other integrations.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyse requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Architect scalable and robust Salesforce solutions that align with best practices and industry standards.
  • Manage integrations between Salesforce and various sales and marketing tools, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Salesforce developers and administrators, providing technical guidance and support to foster professional growth and development.
  • Develop and maintain Apex code, Visualforce pages, Lightning components, and other custom solutions.
  • Implement and customize Salesforce features, such as objects, fields, workflows, validation rules, and process automation.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Perform unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure the quality and stability of Salesforce applications.
  • Manage deployments and release management processes in Salesforce environments.
  • Provide technical leadership and support for ongoing maintenance and administration of Salesforce orgs.
  • Stay up to date on Salesforce updates, new features, and emerging technologies, and evaluate their impact on our Salesforce ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and innovation in Salesforce solutions.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce development tools, including Apex and Visualforce
  • Strong understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem, architecture, and data modes
  • Experience with Salesforce Lightning components and Lightning web components
  • Knowledge of web technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and REST APIs
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
  • Project management skills for overseeing development projects
  • Familiarity with Salesforce integration tools and best practices

Relationship Management

  • Work closely with the respective teams. Collaborate and build strong relationship with functional teams to ensure required support for coaching, streamlining and enhancement of processes.
  • Work with cross regional partners
  • Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to influence team members
