Job Description

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Lead Engineer, Customer Support preferably with knowledge of L&AH Insurance domain for North American L&AH product line. You will have expertise in front-end development using Java-based technologies to provide technical support and develop front-end components for our software and web applications. In this role, you will work closely with our customers, Business Analysts, QA testers, and other technical teams to troubleshoot issues, resolve technical problems, and develop high-quality, scalable front-end features using Java.

Responsibilities:

Provide technical support to customers and end-users for our software and web applications.
Troubleshoot issues and resolve technical problems in a timely and satisfactory manner.
Development of a code / module based on the specifications given.
Design, Develop, enhance, debug, and implement software.
Work on Configuration and script changes as required.
Develop technical and user documentation as needed.
Interacting with the internal stakeholders (Interface Analyst, BAs, Architect), client and team members
Help in developing POC when required.
Implement integration between product and other external systems. Design, Develop, enhance, debug, and implement external interfaces and batches.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products.
Participate in Agile software development methodologies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
Document technical solutions and communicate effectively with customers.
Development of stubs for internal testing
Do performance test of the new interfaces.
Develop technical and user documentation as needed.

Qualifications and Technical Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
6+ years of experience in front-end development using Java-based technologies.
Core JAVA, Proficiency in DB/ SQL, XML/ XSLT
Spring Framework/ Spring Batch, Web Services, REST API
Hibernate, Testing Tools
Self-driven, highly motivated, outcome focused - Ownership of configuration designs, configuration implementation, and component test execution to demonstrate alignment to the functional & non-functional requirements.
Innovative mindset to suggest how more of the changes can be implemented through configuration rather than application changes.

Knowledge and working experience of agile methodology is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with SAFe Agile Development practices and processes. SAFe Practitioner certification.
Experience with the Majesco Platforms/Products.
Experience in developing and supporting of Insurance services products.
Insurance certification.
