About The Team

You will be joining the Consulting Team at Nutanix, which operates primarily out of Bangalore and Pune, with opportunities for collaboration from team members in Mumbai. The team is known for its supportive culture, fostering an environment where collaboration is encouraged across different departments such as sales, support, and engineering. The mission of the Consulting Team is to engage with customers to understand their unique challenges and provide tailored solutions that leverage Nutanix's innovative technology offerings. The team values positive feedback from its members and emphasizes a strong work-life balance.

You will report to the Service Delivery Leader, who adopts a participative leadership style, valuing input from team members during the hiring process and throughout project engagements. The work setup for this role is hybrid, allowing flexibility in choosing remote workdays based on project requirements and individual preferences. While there is no mandatory number of days required in the office, you can work from the office as needed.

The role requires approximately 30% to 35% travel, primarily to customer sites, especially during the presales and delivery phases of projects. This travel will enable you to build rapport with clients and gather essential requirements before project initiation.

Your Role

• Engage in presales discussions to gather customer requirements and propose Nutanix solutions.
• Prepare and deliver low-level and high-level design documents based on customer engagement.
• Oversee project delivery phases, providing support and consultation to engineering teams.
• Manage stakeholder communications to ensure alignment with customer expectations and technical requirements.
• Participate in internal training and mentoring to enhance team capabilities and personal growth.
• Travel to customer sites (approximately 30-35%) to build rapport and effectively gather project insights.
• Collaborate with presales and engineering teams for effort estimation and project costing.
• Achieve familiarity with Nutanix products and processes, establishing rapport with customers by end of the first year.
  
  

What You Will Bring

• 2 to 4 years as an architect with over 10 years in IT, focusing on infrastructure: Nutanix, VMware & similar Virtualization platforms and cloud solutions.
• Extensive knowledge of cloud computing and networking technologies, specifically with hands-on experience in AWS and Azure environments.
• Strong background in networking principles, with a solid understanding of network architecture.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, ensuring alignment between technical solutions and business needs.
• Proficient in preparing low-level and high-level design documents, facilitating clear communication of architectural plans and solutions.
• Deep understanding of customer challenges with a solution-oriented mindset, enabling the delivery of tailored solutions that meet specific client requirements.
• Basic knowledge of commercial aspects, including effort estimation and budgeting, to support project planning and execution.
• Familiarity with Nutanix Solutions or similar Virtualization & Cloud technologies, enhancing the ability to design and implement virtualization and cloud solutions.
