About the Role:

The Senior Accountant prepares journal entries, reconciles and maintains sub-ledgers to general ledgers, including investigation and resolution of discrepancies, analysis of trends and variances to expected outcomes; and prepare monthly activity reports for the assigned accounts and subsidiaries of Remitly. You will report directly to the Accounting Manager.

This Senior Accountant will have these primary responsibilities:

You Will:

• Regular bookkeeping which include bank reconciliations, accruals, amortization of prepayments and payroll entries.

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and prepare financial statements.

• Prepare and update subsidiary ledgers supporting each account in the financial statements.

• Analyze trends and variances to expected outcomes; and

• Prepare monthly activity reports as assigned.

• Assist with project and product launches

• Research and document accounting issues following the applicable financial reporting framework

• Assist or direct less experienced peers in their duties.

• Other tasks may be required.

You Have:

• Bachelor's degree in related fields

• +3 years of experience in Accounting

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is a plus

Working Condition:

• Shift: Morning Shift (6:00 AM - 3:00 PM)

• Work Arrangement: Work-from-Home (WFH) / Hybrid (5 days per quarter)
