Job Description

As a Real Estate Analyst / Underwriter, you’ll be at the heart of our client’s mission to streamline and optimize commercial property appraisals. This role offers a unique blend of analytical challenge and industry learning, perfect for those looking to build a career in commercial real estate. You’ll work with proprietary underwriting tools, conduct in-depth financial analyses, and contribute to comprehensive appraisal reports that drive critical investment decisions. Responsibilities
  • Dive deep into commercial property underwriting, utilizing and mastering proprietary tools
  • Conduct thorough income and expense analyses, uncovering key insights that inform property valuations
  • Create and refine pro forma financial statements, projecting future property performance
  • Research and compile crucial market data, including sales and lease comparables, to support accurate appraisals
  • Collaborate with team members to assemble comprehensive and precise commercial real estate appraisal reports
  • Engage in continuous learning, adapting to new methodologies and market trends in the dynamic world of commercial real estate


Requirements
  • Sharp analytical skills with a keen eye for detail – every number tells a story, and you’re eager to uncover it
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry, with the ability to navigate complex spreadsheets effortlessly
  • A foundational understanding of financial concepts, coupled with a strong desire to deepen your knowledge
  • Written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex ideas clearly
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment
  • An adaptive mindset and enthusiasm for learning new tools, processes, and industry-specific knowledge
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field preferred, but not required for candidates demonstrating strong analytical capabilities and eagerness to learn
