Azure Cloud Architect - Portugal Based

BOOST IT is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Architect to join our Infrastructure Architect Team. This role offers the opportunity to influence the direction of our cloud migration and infrastructure design. You will help craft solutions aligned with business needs, ensure consistency in implementation, and define best practices and standards. A significant focus will be on our RoadToCloud Project, which involves migrating from a private cloud to Azure.

Tasks

Infrastructure Solutions Design

• Propose infrastructure layers and services for applications.
• Gather and structure functional and non-functional requirements.
• Identify potential scenarios based on current and target states.
• Recommend and plan implementation trajectories.
• Develop High-Level and Low-Level Designs to support application hosting with optimal performance, operability, and cost.
  
  
  

Problem Solving

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex infrastructure incidents.
• Ensure proactive measures to prevent recurrence.
  
  
  

Cloud Migration

• Assess current application infrastructure.
• Define target designs (HLD/LLD) and migration strategies.
• Enhance reliability, performance, and security during and post-migration.
  
  
  

Collaboration and Leadership

• Collaborate with DevOps, database, network, security engineers, and developers.
• Drive architecture practices and lead infrastructure service topics.
  
  
  

Requirements

Mandatory

• Fluency in English.
• Proven experience as an Infrastructure Architect.
• Strong expertise with Azure services (Hub & Spoke, AppGW, VMSS, Azure Monitor, Azure Backup, SQL DB Managed Instance, Event Hub, VMs, Azure Functions, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with public cloud solutions (Azure).
• Broad IT technical experience.
• Exceptional team player with strong interpersonal skills.
• Available to a flexibile work model (1 day monthly at the Leirias' office). First day on-site in Leiria.
  
  
  

Preferred

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Engineering or related fields.
• Experience with Terraform and Ansible.
• Knowledge of development platforms and tools like GitLab.
• Familiarity with Aiven.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Experience with AGILE methodologies.
