Job description

PORTWEST, a leading global manufacturer of safety wear, workwear and PPE is currently seeking applications for the position of District Manager in Nigeria and Ghana. Portwest is one of the fastest growing workwear companies in the world currently employing over 5,300 staff worldwide, with customer service staff in over 130+ countries and 11 Global warehouses in UK, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Spain, UAE, USA and Australia. We design, manufacture and distribute market leading workwear, safety wear and PPE in fully owned production facilities. 


JOB SUMMARY

 

The District Manager’s mission is to plan the sales, to manage local sales team and to coordinate the good sales execution for Nigeria & Ghana and support sales activities. The District Manager will also play a critical role in driving ambitious growth by identifying and creating new opportunities true Distributors, Resellers & End users

 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Develop sales strategies to ensure attainment of sales targets
  • Team management in Nigeria & Ghana (performance, KPI...)
  • Leading the sales team to achieve the overall sales targets
  • Initiate and coordinate development of sales plans for existing and new customers
  • Market survey and collecting information
  • Provide regular feedback to senior management regarding performance
  • Follow up with distributor on due payment
  • Accelerate brand penetration at end user levels
  • Complete other ad hoc duties as required.  


 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • 10-year experience in team management
  • 3-5 Year experience in PPE or similar industries
  • Frequent travel within Nigeria and to Ghana
  • Clean driving licence
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills
  • Positive attitude with a winning mentality
