Location: Madrid (Spain), Remote (Spain)


Your mission

As the Sales Manager for Utility and Large-Scale Projects, you will play a pivotal role in fostering relationships with major project developers, utilities, independent power producers (IPPs), and large-scale utility accounts across your region. Your mission is to leverage GoodWe's cutting-edge technology to position the company as a trusted partner in the utility-scale solar market, particularly in Spain and Portugal and other key regions. You will lead projects from inception to contract execution, ensuring long-term success and market growth, while maintaining strong collaboration across Europe and with the HQ team in China. Your main responsibilities


  • Strategic Development: Create and implement strategies to meet sales targets, driving GoodWe’s growth and solidifying its position in the utility PV market.
  • Brand Positioning: Raise brand awareness and highlight GoodWe’s product advantages among key utility customers in high-growth markets, especially in Spain and Portugal.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build, strengthen, and maintain robust relationships with key players in the PV industry, including developers, EPCs, technical advisors, and investors.
  • Sales Pipeline Management: Identify and pursue sales opportunities, nurture strategic partnerships, and guide projects through all phases of development, including tendering and contract negotiation.
  • Customer-Centric Solutions: Gain a deep understanding of clients' strategies and requirements to deliver customized, cost-effective LCOE (Levelized Cost of Energy) solutions.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with the Marketing team and work effectively with the HQ team in China to enhance GoodWe’s market presence and outreach efforts as well as to align on product updates and local market requirements.


Your Profile


  • Industry Expertise: A minimum of 5 years of experience in utility-scale PV projects, with a strong sales track record in the solar sector in Spain and Portugal.
  • Negotiation and Tendering: Proven expertise in contract negotiations and tendering within the PV industry.
  • Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the needs of IPPs, EPCs, and technical advisors in the solar market.
  • Product Knowledge: Familiarity with inverter technology, supply contracts, and PV market trends.
  • Experience: Previous experience with solar inverter vendors is highly preferred.
  • Independent & Team-based Work Style: Self-driven, capable of working autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Professional Skills: Solid understanding of industry standards, practices, and the ability to adapt in a fast-evolving market.
  • Global Collaboration: Strong ability to coordinate with international teams, especially across Europe and with the HQ team in China.
  • Fluency in Spainish (C1/2) is required, with working knowledge of English and Portuguese considered advantageous.
