The Vacancy

The Environmental Consultancy Team within Binnies has been successful in securing significant volumes of work across our Water and Natural Capital portfolios and we are looking to recruit an experienced professional to act as Framework Director to lead delivery for a range of strategic projects.

The Framework Director will be responsible for the delivery of a range of complex environmental projects and programmes through Water Sector Frameworks. This role will enable the candidate to work as part of a team with huge ambition to continue their sustained growth and deliver more for our existing clients, whilst developing and working together to bring innovative solutions and industry best practice to our clients.

There will be the opportunity to develop skills and expertise, both on the job, through external courses and training, alongside close support, and guidance from the Leadership Team.

About The Role

  • Ensure Health Safety & Wellbeing is at the heart of all projects and team activities.
  • Lead environmental programmes and projects of work within existing and recently secured Water Sector frameworks.
  • Develop robust plans for growth across portfolios of client frameworks and delivery mechanisms.
  • Ensure seamless delivery of technical outputs, cost control, quality assurance, resource management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Works closely with an established Project Management Office (PMO) to deliver complex consultancy projects from feasibility through to construction.
  • Works closely with the technical teams to ensure Binnies outputs and technical expertise is world leading.
  • Effectively engage with client organisations to deliver existing framework workload and develop linkages for further opportunities.
  • Lead / direct tender responses, developing the commercial and quality responses with new and existing clients.
  • Work with our business development teams to shape our future projects and ensure smooth transition from project tender to delivery.
  • Manage growth plans across recruitment, skills, resources and training to ensure Binnies position as a key supplier.


Qualifications/Requirements

This role is suitable for a professional with significant experience in the Water and/or Environment Sectors within the UK. You should possess and be able to demonstrate the following qualifications, skills and knowledge:

  • A strong Health, Safety and Wellbeing leadership mindset
  • Degree in an Environment related field.
  • Ideally a qualification in Project Management and/or Chartered Status with a relevant Institution.
  • Ambition to develop teams and build on Binnies existing expertise.
  • With support and training, a keen focus on personal development and to act as a role model for colleagues.
  • Passion to deliver sustainability to clients and projects.
  • Experience in a project management and/or technical role delivering complex environmental projects and programmes of work.
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering complex projects to budget, programme and quality expectations
  • Ability to work under time pressure and balance multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communicator with colleagues, clients and partners.
  • Understanding of consultancy commercial models for both project delivery and tender development.
  • Collaborative mindset to effectively builds teams and draw the best outcomes from a range of stakeholders.
  • Be driven to develop and improve technical skills and advance career.
