Job description

Summary

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence is recruiting an Area Sales Manager Belgium (m/f/d) to join our team in Belgium. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and developing customer relationships, driving sales processes, and contributing to the growth of our metrology hardware and software solutions. The role involves traveling to customer sites 2 to 3 days a week, with minimal overnight stays, and occasional monthly trips to Eindhoven.

Job Responsibilities

Reporting to the Managing Director Sales Nordic & Benelux, your responsibilities and main tasks will include:

  • Active maintenance and development of existing customer relationships.
  • Prospecting and developing new customers within both existing and new business sectors.
  • Creating and implementing successful sales strategies for your defined area, in line with the Hexagon’s go-to-market strategy, to contribute to a healthy business development. This includes marketing and networking/partnering activities.
  • Driving the sales process from start to order placement with focus on Metrology HW and SW sales, while also promoting the aftermarket offer and other products in Hexagon’s portfolio (CAD/CAM and simulation SW).
  • Conducting sales forecasting, general sales administration, and activity management via the company CRM.
  • Developing strong working relationships with the colleagues in Benelux and EMEA North, and building a network within the Hexagon family.
  • Working independently within given frames and being responsible for selling Hexagon solutions in the Belgian market.
  • Engaging in sales activities including prospecting, calling and visiting customers, conducting demonstrations, preparing quotations, negotiating and participating in commercial discussions and marketing activities.
  • Interacting with colleagues and other functions within the Hexagon organisation.
  • Utilizing and reporting in implemented tools and documenting work done.
  • Primarily focusing on the Belgian market, but also being open to other locations and tasks within Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence. Frequent visits to the Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence office in Eindhoven are expected (approximately once a month).

Qualifications

  • Technical high school education and/or relevant work experience.
  • Strong technical understanding.
  • Fluency in English and knowledge of at least one of the local languages in Belgium (Dutch, French, German).
  • Interacting team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Self-propelled with strong planning and organizational abilities.
  • Hands-on and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently within the Benelux region.
