About finmid

finmid's mission is to enable software companies to reimagine how their business customers access capital. By productizing the complexity of financial services, finmid empowers companies to offer financial services where FinTech isn't the mission but enables the mission.

About the opportunity

As a Capital Operations intern, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day capital operations processes, while coordinating initiatives that will support optimizing operational efficiency. You will work closely with our Capital team, as well as cross-functional teams, to ensure smooth transactions, accurate data management, and high-quality customer experiences. This internship is ideal for those who are eager to learn, grow, and want a hands-on experience.

In this role, you will:
  • Manage capital back-office operations, including documentation, transaction processing, and reconciliation.

  • Execute strategies focused on improving the user experience.

  • Assist in the onboarding of customers, ensuring a smooth experience with our product.

  • Conduct customer outreach to understand needs, support customer inquiries related to capital operations, and troubleshoot any issues.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, finance, legal) to ensure smooth capital operations and reporting and that strategies align with any customer feedback.

  • Develop and optimize workflows for capital processes, including funding disbursements, credit management, and financial reporting.

  • Monitor and analyze performance data to identify areas for operational improvement.

  • Coordinate with external partners (banks, financial institutions) to facilitate seamless transactions.

What you need to be successful (requirements):
  • Strong communication skills in English.

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Operations, Finance, Business, or a related field.

  • Strong analytical mindset, able to work with data and financial metrics (proficiency in Excel is expected), with a willingness to learn and deepen expertise.

  • Highly motivated, organized, and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, operational environment.

  • Some experience (e.g., internships, projects) in operations or finance is a plus.

Benefits
  • Work for one of the hottest Fintech Companies in Germany and Europe as an early member of the team - we just raised our Series A!

  • We see ourselves as “distributed first” but also have a beautiful office in Berlin where you can work.

  • We are flexible and cover whatever you need to be as productive as possible (e.g. MacOS).

  • Open-minded and transparent culture that includes regular get together meetings (e.g. All Hands, Brown Bag Lunch, Offsite).

  • Enjoy a paid internship, providing financial support while you gain invaluable experience

We're looking for people with passion, grit and integrity. You're encouraged to apply even if your experience doesn't precisely match the job description. We welcome diverse perspectives and people who think out of the box and aren't afraid to challenge assumptions. Join us.
