A Day in the Life
The Senior Compliance Specialist is primarily responsible for the execution of Global Ethics and Compliance investigations within the Office of Ethics and Compliance (OEC).
This role conducts investigations, including interviews, reviewing and analyzing documents, and will ensure timely, thorough and efficient investigation of ethics and compliance concerns primarily throughout the Latin America Region. The position is based in Mexico or Colombia and will operate in a remote model.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
- Execute an investigative plan consistent with established policies and procedures document work using appropriate tools and templates plan
- Conduct and manage timely, thorough, and efficient ethics and compliance investigations
- Work closely with global legal and compliance leaders, as needed, for investigations Coordinate with stakeholders throughout the investigations process, report on outcomes, and participate in the remediation process
- Assist in the training and support of other compliance matter investigators, ensuring consistent and effective execution of the investigation process
- Provide routine reporting to key stakeholders on investigation status, trending, etc. and foster and support an ethical culture throughout the organization
Required Knowledge and Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3-5 years relevant experience in conducting compliance investigations in a regulated or similar setting
- Experience conducting compliance investigations of varied case-types, including compliance violations, financial statement fraud/accounting irregularities, conflicts of interest, collusion, improper payments/kickbacks, violations and records falsification
- Ability to apply company policies and procedures in relation to complex investigations
- Strong written & verbal communication and organizational skills
- Prior auditing/accounting experience
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills
CPA and/or CFE certification is a plus
