Job Description:

On behalf of our healthcare client, Affinity Healthcare Solutions is looking for Clinical Business Analyst(s) with Patient Access experience to support the CIS Program. The role of CBA encompasses several activities to develop clinical standards for use throughout the province. The primary focus is to support the creation of standard order sets, documentation templates, and other workflows used by physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, and other regulated health professionals providing bedside care.


Responsibilities:

• Supporting the standardization of registration and patient appointment scheduling specifications, documentation, and workflows used throughout the provincial health care system.

• Acting as an SME on the impact that the CIS and digitization of clinical processes will have on the design of Patient Access processes, workflows, and procedures.

• Facilitating engagement sessions to document current state and engage feedback on future state processes.

• Working closely with other team members, SMEs, and clinical stakeholders in the gathering of business requirements and design of new standards to be adopted province wide.

• Gathering and define business and system requirements, conduct gap analysis, complete current state, and future design workflows.

• Supporting seamless adoption of registration standards.

• Collaborating closely with project teams to ensure the smooth delivery and implementation of the clinical standardization project, including effective communication plans for stakeholders.

• Conducting gap analysis, developing design documents, and facilitating engagement sessions to achieve the project’s objective, and

• Foster and maintain close working relationships with the various lines of business to ensure the business and information technology requirements align.

• Detailed review of existing business requirements.

• Collaborate with clinical experts to gather input and insights for the development and refinement of clinical standards.

• Design and develop facilitation sessions to validate the existing requirements and collect net new business and information technology requirement, including gap analysis.

• Create and maintain detailed process and solution documentation, including workflows, use cases, user guides, and training materials, to ensure seamless adoption of clinical standards.

• Conduct a comprehensive analysis of business and client requirements to support the development, operations, and deployment of the clinical standardization project; recommend and implement solutions to achieve defined objectives, monitoring their effectiveness.

• Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure the smooth delivery and implementation of the clinical standardization project, including effective communication plans for stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

• Degree in either Healthcare, Business Administration, post-secondary certification, or equivalent combination of applicable education and experience.

• 5+ years of demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst (or equivalent) responsible for requirements gathering, workshop facilitation, use case analysis, business process analysis, detailed design activities, and developing business analysis documentation obtained in the last 10 years.

• 5+ years of demonstrated experience working with health information systems, CIS, and/or healthcare operations.

• 2+ years of demonstrated experience working as a Business Analyst/Registration Analyst or equivalent in large-scale transformative healthcare projects with direct experience focused on Patient Access functions (registration, scheduling).

Scored Requirements:

• 1+ years of demonstrated Additional experience in any of the following: computerized provider order entry (CPOE), order sets, clinical documentation, and ancillary services (Pharmacy, Medical Imaging, Laboratory, Health Records, ).

• 3+ years of demonstrated Facilitation skills: demonstrated experience in leading workshops to identify and articulate business requirements, and system requirements, and develop user stories or use cases. Additional points for experience in Healthcare CIS development and implementations.

• 5+ years of demonstrated experience working with a high level of self-direction, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to confidently engage and collaborate with project team members, subject matter experts, and stakeholders at all levels.

• 5+ years of demonstrated ability to multi-task, and work with multiple teams supporting more than one project stream/activity at a time.

• 3+ years of demonstrated Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Teams) in the work environment.

• 1+ years of demonstrated Knowledge of Atlassian JIRA software in a work environment.

• Verbal and written communication, facilitation, and presentation skills in French and English are strongly preferred.

• Previous experience working within public health authorities, showcasing a strong understanding of the public healthcare landscape, policies, and practices.
