.NET API Developer - Remote

SR. .NET API DEVELOPER - REMOTE
Seeking an experienced Sr. .NET API Developer for a new team at an established consumer organization. The Sr. .NET API Developer will be responsible for understanding product requirements, and developing the architecture/ specifications for systems to support them. This role will
represent and guide our development team, setting the pace, path, and standard for all programming activities. You will deliver services based on API and microservices concepts using RESTful or gRPC principles for our rapidly evolving products both custom and/or package software. Excellent communication skills are required.

Responsibilities:

• Developing detailed design to align with the business requirements
• Working with the team and business colleagues to define KPIs, and ensure data integrity
• Developing estimates of work effort required to complete the business requirements
• Designing, developing and maintaining scalable APIs and microservices for middleware and partner applications using GO programming language (Golang), C#, .NET 7, node.js, bash/shell script, JSON/XML data formats.
• Collaborating with Quality Assurance in the preparation of test environments and execution of system tests
• Collaborating with internal customers to determine the most efficient, cost-effective approach to meet their business requirements
• Implementing industry best practices for API security, policies and versioning strategy
• Preparing test environments, executing system tests, and assisting with execution of user acceptance tests
• Performing capacity and performance testing of services.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree required Preferably in Computer Science or Information Systems
• 8+ years of software application development experience in .NET Core, C#
• Strong experience in backend API & microservices development
• 2+ years of experience with public Cloud Technologies (Azure or GCP)
• Ability to develop a technical software solution to a business problem utilized by the various business areas that need access to services supplied by an API.
• Ability to create estimates for software development based on technical solutions that address business requirements.
• Experience in .NET 7, bash/shell script, JSON/XML data formats.
• Object Oriented Programming experience (C# and .NET core experience is preferred)
• Experience and understanding of various databases (SQL, NoSQL).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Golang and NodeJS experience is nice to have.
• Experience with the following: Waterfall, Agile/Scrum Development and Continuous Integration and delivery
