JOB SUMMARY:

The Manager, Business Systems is responsible for ensuring the daily operations, maintenance and administration of business critical systems and networks are carried out within the defined service levels. The position directly manages the business systems, works directly with external support teams and vendors for expedient problem resolutions, and schedules resources for the execution of specific tasks related to short-term and long-term projects.

This position's key accountabilities include application and hardware configurations, systems policy compliance, coordination and scheduling of systems maintenance activities, coordination and scheduling of on-site vendor maintenance and troubleshooting activities, vendor service negotiations and validation of vendor expenses.

Responsible for assisting in the management of operations for the KCD/Brands business.

Responsibilities/Skills/Experience Requirements

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Measures, maintains and reports key performance indicators (KPIs) for system performance, ensuring data integrity, system availability and issue resolution aligns with business goals; conducts periodic system reviews and provides insights to drive improvements and support objectives; develops dashboards and reporting tools that reflect system performance metrics
  • Works with functional teams and end users to identify issues, troubleshoot problems and define business requirements; recommends alternative processes and solutions to address identified needs; ensures proposed solutions align with business goals and end-user expectations
  • Serves as the key liaison between end users, management and project teams; facilitates communication to ensure system updates meet user needs and support organizational goals; gathers and integrates user feedback to enhance system functionality
  • Provides operational support for applications, network systems and interfaces; oversees Tier 1 support, including issue coordination, maintenance scheduling and policy clarifications; maintains documentation and processes to ensure effective knowledge transfer for system operations
  • Translates technical issues into actionable business requirements and designs; develops cost/benefit analyses for potential solutions and prioritizes actions based on business impact; aligns technical solutions with business priorities
  • Communicates project statuses and system issues with technical teams, development teams and other stakeholders; ensures all parties are informed of system changes and updates; collaborates across departments to maintain alignment on goals
  • Defines and implements processes for special handling and tactical initiatives; focuses on improving workflows and enhancing system efficiencies; partners with teams to ensure initiatives meet business needs; develops test plans and manages system regression and acceptance testing activities; validates system changes and oversees upgrades to minimize disruptions; reviews implementations to ensure successful outcomes and identifies areas for enhancements
  • Annually provides necessary data and process review with outside bank auditors, plus internal and external legal teams for contract review and compliance

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 3-4 years of related experience
  • Up to 25% travel
  • 18 years of age or older

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Technical Support experience
  • Skill in teaching and training associates on system interaction
  • Sophisticated analytical skills, with knowledge of local processing environments, database structures and related tools (query, Access, SQL)
  • General knowledge of overall Brands systems and operations
  • Skilled at creating user design documentation and reviewing system designs and testing approaches
  • Knowledge of system development methodology and process for translating business requirements into system requirements
  • Ability to communicate in spoken and written English well enough to be understood by supervisors, co-workers, and customers
  • Ability to enter data and maneuver efficiently using a keyboard, operate a mouse, use telephone and headset equipment, and listen while keying information into the system
  • Ability to demonstrate self-control by maintaining composure and keeping emotions in check even in difficult situations
  • All employees/associates may in the course of their duties come in contact with Credit / Debit Card Data; if this data is exposed as part of this role, the associate must protect that data as directed and required by the compliance team
  • Work with internal and external audit teams to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting procedures
  • Work with the Brands financial team to ensure compliance with Asset Based Loan (ABL) and banking requirements
