Job Title: HubSpot Architect

Department: Marketing/Admissions

Reports to: Chief of Marketing Officer and Chief Growth Officer

FLSA: Exempt

Hours: Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM (extended hours when requested)

Location: Remote

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HubSpot at a strategic level, including leveraging the various HubSpot Breeze AI tools, and have a passion for utilizing technology to improve marketing and admissions processes. This individual will be the HubSpot SME for both current and future capabilities and products, ensuring that the various HubSpot products are specifically aligned and driving our marketing, admissions, data analytics and IT operations.

Essential Job Tasks Additional Duties May Be Assigned.

  • Act as the subject matter expert to develop and implement strategic plans for effective use of HubSpot Marketing Hub, Sales Hub, Content Hub, and Breeze AI tools to optimize marketing and admissions processes.
  • Train and support users on the HubSpot platform, ensuring they have the knowledge and resources to effectively utilize the various Hubspot products.
  • Regularly review and audit the HubSpot system, identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring data integrity.
  • Manage any technical issues within the platform in partnership with our internal and external IT and Hubspot resources. Identify, manage and leverage 3rd party resources (including HubSpot directly) for technical support of the HS platform.
  • Develop regular and ad-hoc reporting to measure the performance of our Hubspot marketing and admissions activities. Coordinate with the office of the Chief Data Officer to leverage the HubSpot products to produce comprehensive data analytics and reporting.
  • Stay updated on HubSpot updates and new features, particularly those related to AI tools and data analytics, integrating them into our processes as applicable.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Knowledge

  • Proven experience as a HubSpot Architect or Administrator or in a similar role, ideally in a higher education environment.
  • Excellent understanding of Hubspot Marketing Hub, Sales Hub, Content Hub, and HubSpot’s AI tools.

  • Proficient in analyzing and interpreting data.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills and the capacity to work well in a team.
  • Ability to deliver training and provide support to users with varying levels of technical knowledge.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
  • HubSpot Certifications in the various product areas
  • A minimum of five (5) years of administrative experience in the field of marketing.


Equipment Used

  • Office equipment including computers, telephones, printers, faxes, and copiers.
  • Software used includes HubSpot, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other internal department software applications.
  • Secure and reliable internet is required for this position.

The position is remote and should have an established office with secure and reliable internet. When onsite this position works primarily within a climate-controlled environment within a cubicle setting mostly sedentary with frequent sitting, occasional walking and lifting, and frequent near vision use for reading and computer use. Noise level is generally moderate.
