Our Investigations department is a critical part of our success, providing essential support to attorneys and the legal team through comprehensive investigative efforts. We are looking for a highly organized, intelligent, and solution-driven Investigations Legal Assistant to join our team. This position offers extensive training and mentorship, making it an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or professionals looking to further their careers in law. 


Position Overview 

As an Investigations Legal Assistant, you will work closely with attorneys and staff to support a variety of investigative tasks that are essential to building strong personal injury cases. The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver, highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively. While prior investigative experience is helpful, we are open to candidates with a strong desire to learn and grow in a legal environment. 


Job Responsibilities 

  • Work closely with attorneys and other staff members to assist in investigative functions and case preparation. 
  • Locate, contact, and interview witnesses to gather essential information and testimony for cases. 
  • Locate and inspect evidence, including accident scenes, vehicles, and other materials pertinent to the firm’s cases. 
  • Perform detailed background checks on individuals involved in cases, providing thorough and comprehensive reports. 
  • Write clear, concise investigative reports that summarize findings and help inform case strategy. 
  • Prepare accurate scene diagrams to illustrate accident locations and other critical event scenes. 
  • Travel to accident scenes or locations relevant to investigations as required. 
  • Perform additional investigative tasks as needed, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy in all work. 

 

Qualifications 

  • Ability to analyze complex information, identify key details, and approach tasks with a solution-oriented mindset. 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. 
  • Comfortable using current technology, social media platforms, and online tools for research and background checks. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to interact professionally with witnesses, clients, and attorneys. 
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Texas resident is a plus.
  • Previous experience in investigations, claims adjusting, or a related field is beneficial. 
  • Experience in a law firm or legal setting is a plus. 
  • Spanish-speaking candidates are a plus but not required. 
  • Must have a proactive, can-do attitude and work well with support staff and attorneys in a collaborative environment.

  • Salary commensurate with experience
