Job description

 

Location: Remote

Note: This role can support a remote candidate. Additionally, we could support a hybrid working situation if candidate is located near Hershey, PA or Bentonville, AR.

 

 

Summary:

The Senior Manager of Commercial Growth Strategy is responsible for shaping commercial investment strategy with the goal of maximizing demand generation across The Hershey Company portfolio. This individual has an intuition for value creation, strong bias for action, and collaborative spirit. He/she will lead cross-functional, high-impact initiatives to accelerate growth across the US business.

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Own strategy development and implementation to maximize demand generation across commercial levers (e.g., trade, media, commercial data), aligned to business unit objectives
  • Unify and analyze spend data across business lenses (e.g., brand, customer, segment, working vs non-working) to generate actionable, sizable insights
  • Co-create and prioritize pipeline of value creation initiatives. Lead mobilization of cross-functional teams to tackle complex, high-value opportunities
  • Embed value capture through detailed initiative transfer to functional owners, establishing new ways of working and governance
  • Be recognized as an established leader and consultative partner among senior leaders

 

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in strategy development and end-to-end ownership; structured problem solver
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills; adept at driving change with senior leadership and cross-functionals
  • Analytical orientation, including advanced proficiency in data analysis, synthesis, and storytelling
  • Passion for growth and CPG industry
  • Curiosity and demonstrated ability to quickly build expertise to drive impact

 

 

 

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; Preferred: Masters in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • Minimum 6-8 years of combined experience in strategy, customer strategy, and/or related roles within a commercial function
