The Business Analyst will provide advanced business analysis and support services for the planning, execution, monitoring, reporting, and assessment of various projects under the Indian Affairs (IA) Office of Facilities Management and Construction (OFPSM). This role requires a strong analytical mindset, the ability to work with systems and reports, and a capacity to synthesize complex information into actionable insights. The position involves collaborating with the project management team to ensure project plans align with forecasts, trends, and evidence-based performance metrics.


This role is ideal for someone with a blend of technical and analytical skills who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about optimizing processes and delivering actionable insights.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the project management team to respond to inquiries and provide updates to stakeholders.
  • Analyze  business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend actionable improvements.
  • Develop and present detailed project plans to support process optimization and enhance organizational goals.
  • Analyze project data to identify trends, forecast outcomes, and support  evidence-based decision-making.
  • Generate and maintain comprehensive reports on fund execution, including commitments, obligations, expenditures, and balances.
  • Provide actionable insights to optimize project resource allocation and financial performance.
  • Monitor project health, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions to ensure timely deliverables and financial performance.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop and implement performance measures aligned with project timelines and goals.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required data and documentation.
  • Conduct  assessments to identify organizational vulnerabilities and recommend solutions.
  • Participate  in project review meetings, offering data-driven insights to support  performance improvement strategies.
  • Conduct needs assessments and studies to inform organizational priorities and program enhancements.
  • Design and implement tracking and reporting mechanisms to enhance project  management efficiency.
  • Utilize  tools and systems to synthesize and present complex information for diverse audiences.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and at least 6 years of experience 
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret financial data, to interact effectively with others in a broad range of functional and technical backgrounds, and to handle pressures in a deadline-driven environment. 
  • Demonstrated ability to use a high degree of professional judgment and ingenuity in interpreting guidelines for application in day-to-day issues and analyses. 
  • Ability to perform problem solving of a precedent-setting nature. 
  • Be proficient in using financial systems and software applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint) for presentation of analysis and preparation of supporting documentation. 
  • Strong proficiency in working with data analysis tools, project management software, and reporting systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of financial analysis and budget tracking.
  • Experience with process mapping, business process improvement, and performance monitoring.
