Red Nucleus is hiring a Managing Director/Director to join our global team! This role can be based out of our Yardley, PA office or full-time remote in the US.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Managing Director to join our team, focusing on growing strategy consulting services with R&D and managing the delivery of small and large-scale organizational transformation initiatives, including but not limited to, process optimizations, system implementations and organization change management projects. The successful candidate will focus on delivering strategic guidance to both the Red Nucleus team and clients on all engagements, managing $3 million+ in business annually, and partnering with clients for sustained success and account growth. The candidate will ensure they foster and build trusted client relationships, working closely with their clients to identify opportunities for growth, optimize their operations and enhance overall business performance.  The candidate must be savvy enough to understand their client needs and be able to offer guidance and solutions to address those needs with the various Red Nucleus service offerings.


Key Responsibilities:

Account Management and Growth

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for key accounts, building long-term client relationships.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell services, contributing to client success and revenue growth.
  • Identify client needs and pursue new opportunities to sell R&D services, establishing strategic client relationships.
  • Develop comprehensive sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Deliver compelling pitches and lead contract negotiations to secure business deals.
  • Cultivate a strong understanding of clients’ R&D needs, translating these into tailored service offerings.
  • Build credibility and long-lasting trusted partnerships with clients
  • Develop and manage contracts, including MSAs, NDAs and SOWs (collaborate with legal and other team members as needed)
  • Oversee a $3 million+ annual portfolio, ensuring seamless project delivery and client satisfaction.


Strategy and Change Consulting

  • Mange multiple delivery teams across various accounts to successfully deliver projects with “right first time” quality, on-time and within budget
  • Build credibility and long-lasting trusted partnerships with team members, using a collaborative approach with thorough listening skills and the ability to manage through influence
  • Oversee the design, development and implementation of solutions to drive success on every engagement for the client
  • Provide expert insights and solutioning to client needs
  • Motivate and coach team members on client engagements.
  • Work closely with team members to solve complex problems.
  • Use sound judgement to mitigate risks and escalated issues from team members or clients.
  • Problem solve independently, through thoughtfulness, strategic thinking and thorough analysis
  • Exhibit robust and clear communication at all times
  • Validate and take accountability for team deliverables.
  • Proactively obtain and act on client feedback
  • Direct the team on project delivery, always demonstrating composure through ambiguous challenging and uncertain times.
  • Make difficult decisions and take appropriate action to resolve any issues hindering team effectiveness.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver results within scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Monitor project performance, risks, and financial outcomes to ensure profitability and alignment with goals.
  • Utilize well-defined methodologies to initiate, plan, execute, and deliver both simple and complex projects across regional and global scales.
  • Partner with clients to manage project timelines, mitigate risks, and ensure achievement of all project goals within constraints.

  • Drive business transformation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, competitiveness, and overall success.
  • Design and implement sound global and regional business processes to optimize performance.
  • Conduct functional assessments, oversee FTE (Full-Time Equivalent) analysis, and develop resourcing and outsourcing models aligned with client objectives.
  • Develop end-to-end cross-functional business processes, clearly defining roles, responsibilities, key timelines, decision points, and hand-offs.
  • Implement transparency measures, including critical metrics, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms, to monitor and communicate progress effectively.
  • Implement systems, including requirements gathering, UAT development, Validation support, training and provide post go-live hypercare.


General:

  • Develop and maintain a high performing team (participate in recruitment and onboarding of new hires)
  • Provide open and transparent coaching to team members.

About You


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Science, or related field; MBA preferred.


Experience:

  • 7+ years in management consulting, advisory and/or strategy and change specifically for Life Sciences and ideally within R&D.
  • Proven ability to manage multimillion-dollar initiatives
  • Strong expertise in organizational transformation, business process development, organizational change management, system implementations and project management.


Skills:

  •  Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, both verbal and written, including but not limited to a broad range of audiences, from internal team member communications, to client audiences (both junior, senior and executives)
  •  Communication effectiveness to deliver complex and challenging messages with sensitivity and persuasiveness
  • Must have an executive presence
  • Must have a network in life sciences for Business Development
  • Identify and pursue new business development opportunities,
  • Ability to lead client work and accounts
  • Ability to attract, retain, mentor and grow team members
  • Ability to become a trusted partner to all levels of clients (from Director to c-suite)
  • Must have a collaborative and team based mind-set
  • Proficiency in CRM software, project management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite, (demonstrated expertise in Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Must have the ability to manage work-life balance for oneself and be able to mentor team accordingly for themselves.
  • Must be capable of leading complex engagements with superior practice-build and client relationship management skills
