Description

Cerity Partners’ Cross-Border Team is seeking a dynamic early-to-mid-career professional with a strong foundation in financial planning and investing to join our growing team. This unique role offers an opportunity to collaborate with a group of highly skilled financial advisors in preparing financial plans for high-net-worth clients across the world. The position encompasses a variety of client-focused responsibilities, including portfolio analysis, financial planning and direct client communication. This a hybrid opportunity and can be based in our New York, NY, Westfield, NJ or Boca Raton, FL offices. 


Our Cross-Border Team specializes in working with a diverse clientele, including Americans living abroad and non-U.S. citizens both inside and outside the United States. While an international perspective is advantageous, it is not a strict requirement. The ideal candidate will have a college degree in a relevant discipline along with an international background - living or studying abroad, studying international business, or extensive travel internationally.


International Wealth Advisor Job Responsibilities:
•    Develop comprehensive cross-border financial plans tailored to clients' unique needs.
•    Conduct portfolio analysis and provide insights to optimize client investment strategies.
•    Communicate regularly with clients to address inquiries, deliver updates, and provide exceptional service.
•    Stay informed on global financial trends, tax considerations, and cross-border planning strategies.
•    Build strong relationships with clients from diverse national and cultural backgrounds.
 

Qualifications

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have some (but not necessarily all) of the following qualifications and attributes:
•    Professional Credentials:

  • CFP (Certified Financial Planner), CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), MBA, CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or JD (Juris Doctor) preferred.

•    Relevant Experience:

  •  A background in financial planning, private banking, or wealth management.
  • Training or experience in formal financial planning methodologies.

•    International Expertise:

  •  Experience living and working outside the United States is a significant asset.
  • Familiarity with global financial systems, tax considerations, and cross-border regulatory environments.
  • Ability to connect with individuals from diverse cultural and national backgrounds.
