Job description

Overview:

Delaware Nation Industries (DNI) is a prime contractor providing manpower and support of IT Operations and Maintenance within a Federal Agency.  We are currently interviewing for a Senior Level SharePoint Developer to support an agency serving more than 4000 users.  This position adheres to strict process and policy governance in a defined enterprise SharePoint architecture.  Contribution to process and policy governance is valued, especially for content management in self-service SharePoint Online (SPO) and Power Platform.  The selected candidate will be involved in all stages of the Power Platform / No Code / Low Code application lifecycle.  This may include direct development of Power Platform solutions as well as security and best practices reviews for solutions created by agency citizen developers or other teams.  They will follow and continuously improve upon Application Lifecycle management process and policy governance for SPO and Power Platform solutions.  This will include the creation, configuration, maintenance, and security of M365 resources such as M365 Environments and Data Gateways for development, testing, and production use.  This role may work in support of full stack development teams to develop code against SharePoint and M365 APIs i.e. MS Graph APIs.  This role will also provide subject matter expertise and assistance to SharePoint site owners, citizen developers, and identified agency users directly, and contribute to the development and maintenance of SharePoint and Power Platform end-user guidelines and training materials. 

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze, design, develop and deliver web-based applications and Web UI for SharePoint platforms leveraging SharePoint Framework web parts, Power BI, SharePoint REST Services, document sets, Enterprise Search API and the Business Data Catalog.
  • Manage and support SharePoint for site collections using Sharegate and browser-based configuration.
  • Implement and maintain access control procedures for securing data across multiple site collections and environments.
  • Create, configure, maintain, and secure M365 resources such as M365 Environments and Data Gateways for development, testing, and production use.
  • Create, configure, maintain, and secure Power Platform solutions, leveraging Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and SharePoint, to meet agency mission requirements.
  • Actively participate in all stages of the Power Platform Application Lifecycle, including security and best practices peer reviews.
  • Develop and maintain SharePoint end-user training guides.
  • Assist in design and architecture decisions supporting a comprehensive strategy for SharePoint and Power Platform development, use, and application lifecycle fitting within a defined enterprise architecture.
  • Contribute to process and policy governance decisions for self-service SharePoint Online content management.
  • Assist development teams to develop code against SharePoint and M365 APIs i.e. MS Graph APIs
  • Modernize and enhance existing apps, web pages, and file-based content sites to improve user experience, ease of use, and efficiency.
  • Provide direct SME assistance to agency SPO Site Owners, Citizen Developers, and other identified agency users.
Qualifications:
  • 7 years of progressive SharePoint development experience.
  • Programming skills in SharePoint Online as part of Microsoft Office 365 or DoD 365.
  • Experience with SharePoint Framework web parts, Power Platform, Power BI, SharePoint REST Services, document sets, Enterprise Search API, Business Data Catalog.
  • Experience in managing SharePoint information architecture using ShareGate and browser-based configuration.
  • Experience designing and implementing access control processes and procedures for data security at an Enterprise level.
  • Experience using, creating, or configuring M365 Environments and Data Gateways.
  • Experience in Power App development projects using agile development methodologies.
  • Able to quickly triage service desk tickets and provide direct SME assistance to agency SPO Site Owners, Citizen Developers, and other identified agency users.
  • Active DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification such as CompTIA Security+ CE.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance.
