This is a Remote Position and can be located anywhere within the United States

Compensation:

The base salary listed is a range. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others). 

In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for a bonus, providing the opportunity to earn additional compensation.

Position Summary

As a Global Research and Technical Services Associate at Zinpro®, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our research initiatives and ensuring the highest standards of data integrity across ruminant-related projects. This dynamic position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including marketing, technical services and sales, to create and present technical materials that drive our sales performance. You will be responsible for managing and interpreting complex data sets and translating research findings into practical applications. You will support the development of technical collateral, assist in the development of messaging and positioning and participate in industry events.

Essential Functions 

  • Assist study lead with writing and accuracy of research protocols, reports and technical materials, on-farm research and evaluations, internal final reports and research/commercial trial summaries.
  • Serve as the repository and source of truth for ruminant-specific data (global and regional), ensuring high standards of data integrity.
  • Create and own research-to-market taskforces, host webinars to present study results through partnerships with research, marketing and sales.
  • Work closely with marketing, technical service and sales to create ruminant-specific slide presentations and technical materials.
  • Conduct literature reviews, collaborate on editing topical papers and designing technical posters for scientific events as assigned.
  • Manage data and spreadsheets, create summarized graphs, reports and dashboards and work with both large and small data sets.
  • Translate research into practical applications, identifying and calculating key performance indicators (KPIs) for customer facing collateral to help drive Zinpro sales performance.
  • Collaborate and work cross-functionally, serving as the bridge between research, global and regional species teams, marketing and sales for Zinpro research data results.
  • Partner with marketing to interpret and utilize data and develop technical collateral for commercialization.
  • Participate in industry tradeshows, customer events and scientific conferences when needed.
  • Partner with global marketing to write and review blogs and other ruminant-specific marketing collateral and participate in media interviews as requested.
  • Adhere to Zinpro brand standards.
  • Cross-collaboration work in other species areas as needed. 

Qualifications 

Minimum Required:

  • Master’s degree in animal nutrition, animal science or related field.
  • 3-5 years related research/data interpretation experience with production animals, with preference given to ruminants.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Statistical analysis – understanding, interpretation and visualization of data.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint.

Preferred:

  • Experience working with technical services and sales to gain understanding of product utility and expectations.
  • Ability to perform meta-analysis.
  • Minimum 3 years live production experience (graduate school and/or industry); nutrition-based research preferred.
  • Proficient in statistical analysis tools (examples: SAS and/or R, Python, Prism, etc.)
  • Use Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Publisher to create technical collateral.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Positions in this class typically require typing, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.  

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.  

Schedule Requirements 

This position is expected to work within core business hours and on occasion may require participation in after-hours and weekend calls, customer/client events & meetings, and industry events. 

Travel Requirements

This position requires an estimated 5% travel, but it may be higher depending on business needs. Required travel is primarily within the US but may include occasional other international travel
