Overview:
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer focused on Power and Power System Studies with a minimum of 15 years of experience to work within a manufacturing company’s corporate electrical engineering team. The individual will report to and take direction from the company’s resident Power Engineer and the Electrical Design Manager. The Electrical Engineer will work with corporate and plant personnel, Project Managers and other disciplines to develop and modify electrical designs and update the arc flash study files in SKM Power Tools software. They will perform plant walkdowns to gather data for arc flash studies, conduct calculations, create/modify drawings, write scopes of work, coordinate with outside contractors/vendors, and make site visits to plants as needed. Additionally, they will write equipment specifications, develop preliminary designs, MTOs (material takeoffs) and man-hour estimates. The position also requires knowledge and ability to provide on-site and remote guidance to safely troubleshoot the power systems of the company’s 50 North American industrial manufacturing facilities.
