Job description

In this exciting role you will take ownership for supporting the Business as Usual and technical incubation of developments to SmartestEnergy’s customer-facing product set.

As an individual with a broad understanding of the energy industry, you’ll work closely with internal teams, customers, and third-party providers to bring innovative product ideas to life, from strategic road mapping and technical feasibility through to full adoption. 

A key focus of this role will be supporting new and emerging strategic growth opportunities in digital data Products. You will support the development of product strategy aligned to strategic growth areas identified by the business and design viable concepts through proof-of-concept into development and through to adoption into production. 

What skills/experience do I need to be successful?

  • Awareness of regulatory requirements and standards relevant to a heavily regulated sector;
  • Substantial experience in at least two IT solution development disciplines, including technical or infrastructure architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management or cloud development;
  • Experience of Modern Data Management solutions and exposure to multiple, diverse technologies, platforms and processing environments;
  • Experience developing architecture blueprints, strategies and roadmaps;
