Technical Proposal Specialist
Job Summary:
The Technical Proposal Specialist will manage end-to-end proposal development process for IT projects. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent project management skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT and a proven track record of successfully managing complex sales and/or technical proposals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the proposal development process from initial request to final submission, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
- Collaborate with sales, technical, and project management teams to gather necessary information and develop compelling proposals.
- Analyze RFPs (Request for Proposals) and RFIs (Request for Information) to understand client requirements and develop tailored responses.
- Create and maintain proposal templates, ensuring consistency and compliance with company standards.
- Develop and manage proposal schedules, coordinating with internal stakeholders to meet deadlines.
- Write, edit, and review proposal content, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with client needs.
- Conduct proposal reviews and incorporate feedback from stakeholders to improve proposal quality.
- Maintain a repository of proposal content and best practices for future use.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to enhance proposal strategies.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on proposal development processes and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in proposal management, preferably in the IT industry.
- Strong understanding of IT solutions, services, and industry trends.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and proposal management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- APMP (Association of Proposal Management Professionals) certification.
- Experience with government and commercial proposals.
- Knowledge of proposal automation tools and D365 CRM Application
- Software: Kofax PDF.
- Familiarity with IT Managed Services and Cybersecurity.
