We invest deeply in delivering exceptional customer experiences, crafting moments that drive loyalty, brand connection, and long-term success. Join us at Tactacam, where innovation, adventure, and limitless possibilities await!

Job Overview:

We’re looking for a Technical Product Owner with a deep understanding of IoT devices, telecom infrastructure, and backend systems to manage and optimize the internal platforms that support our IoT products. This is a hands-on role where you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the development and maintenance of systems that connect, monitor, and support our IoT devices. You’ll bridge the gap between the technical teams and product stakeholders, ensuring our internal systems are aligned with business needs, scalable, and deliver a seamless experience for our users.

Your expertise in IoT devices and telecommunications systems will be crucial as you take ownership of managing and enhancing the systems that support device connectivity, data flow, and system integration. You’ll work closely with engineering and QA teams to ensure high availability, performance, and security of the internal systems that enable our devices to function smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

Shape the IoT Systems from the Inside Out:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the system architecture aligns with both technical requirements and business goals, driving seamless integration between devices and backend systems.

Intake requirements and need by dates from other Product Owners to support their releases.

Define and Prioritize Technical Requirements:

Translate business and stakeholder needs into clear, actionable technical requirements for internal systems, focusing on device connectivity, data flow, and system reliability.

Manage the technical backlog, balancing new feature development with necessary system improvements and addressing technical debt.

Collaborate with Engineering Teams:

Work closely with engineering, IoT, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure alignment on technical specifications and ensure all system components meet performance and quality standards.

Support the team through the integration of new features and help ensure high availability of backend systems that support IoT devices.

Prioritize and Manage Backlog:

Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring that the team is always focused on delivering the highest-value features first.

Balance the technical needs of the product with the business objectives, ensuring that each release provides meaningful value to end-users and stakeholders.

Manage Stakeholder Relationships:

Serve as the voice of the customer and business stakeholders throughout the product development process.

Regularly update stakeholders on product progress, challenges, and successes.

Own Product Release Planning:

Coordinate and manage product release plans, ensuring a smooth and successful launch for each new feature or product iteration.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Experience with IoT and Telecom Systems: 5+ years of experience in product ownership or a technical product management role with a focus on IoT devices, telecom systems, or embedded systems. Strong understanding of network protocols, connectivity solutions, and telecom infrastructure (e.g., MQTT, LTE, Wi-Fi, etc.).

Technical Expertise: Experience with device management, data flow, and integration of IoT technologies into backend systems is essential.

Strong Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues related to device connectivity, data transmission, and system integrations. Strong analytical skills and the ability to think through technical challenges from both a systems and product perspective.

Customer-Focused Mindset: While this role is technical, you’ll need to keep the user experience in mind, ensuring that the backend systems support seamless, reliable, and efficient experiences for IoT device users.

Project Management Skills: Experience managing technical projects and working with Agile methodologies to deliver product enhancements, system improvements, and new features on time.

Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or Related Field: A relevant technical background, along with any certifications in IoT, networking, or related fields, is a plus.

Comprehensive Benefits Package:

Our benefits include Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage to ensure your well-being. Plan for the future with our 401k plan, and take time off to recharge with PTO. We've got you covered with Disability Insurance and Life Insurance too!
