Rust Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Rust Engineer to join our team at a rapidly growing AI startup. In this role, you will contribute to the development of innovative SaaS solutions aimed at helping medium-sized companies implement sustainability management and comply with EU regulations.

As a Rust Engineer, you'll play a key role in building and maintaining critical backend services for their core product. You'll work closely with a small, passionate team to deliver high-quality, performant, and secure software.

Requirements

• At least 2-3 years of professional experience specifically with Rust.
• At least 4-5+ years of overall software engineering experience.
• Solid understanding of Rust's core concepts, memory management, and concurrency.
• Experience with building and deploying production-grade backend services.
• Familiarity with common software engineering principles (e.g., SOLID, design patterns).
• Experience with testing methodologies (unit tests, integration tests).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• A passion for building high-quality software and a strong interest in sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using Rust.
• Contribute to the architecture and design of new features and systems.
• Write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., frontend, AI) to deliver exceptional user experiences.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving engineering best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Rust and related technologies.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Golang, Python, or other backend languages.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
