Summary:
We are currently seeking a Staff Product Designer to join our Experience Architecture Team. This role sits within the Product Design function and reports to the Director of Experience Architecture. This role can be performed from one of our Canadian offices, or remotely from the US or Canada or a combination of both. Some exceptions may apply.

Design plays an integral role at Clio, making up one of the three pillars of our Research and Development organization alongside Product Management and Engineering. Product designers directly engage in researching the behaviours and needs of our users. They act as user experience champions as we work to transform the way lawyers and their staff provide services to their clients. As part of the Product Design Architecture team, you will play a pivotal role in helping customers understand, adopt, and maximize the value of Clio’s products for their law firms. Collaborating across the product organization, you’ll identify opportunities to connect Clio’s capabilities, driving deeper customization, personalization and engagement with our suite of products to maximize the value and impact of Clio for every customer. This role ensures customers unlock the full potential of our products at every stage of their journey, from onboarding to ongoing use.
What You’ll Work On
Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Research across multiple product teams to drive design strategy, product decisions, and roadmap priorities based on user research and business needs
Create scalable design solutions and frameworks that leverage AI/ML to seamlessly onboard new users and guide them to discover and engage with additional Clio products as their needs evolve
Own end-to-end user journeys and all aspects of design execution from vision, and ideation, to prototyping, to user testing, to final production
Streamline the onboarding experience in partnership with sales and customer success with a critical eye on time to value
Streamline the attach/expansion experience in partnership with marketing and pricing/packaging teams with a critical eye on ARPS
Envision and launch an ongoing communication framework that highlights recommendations across a broad spectrum of activities supporting both the business of law and practice of law - positioning Clio as a trusted partner - with a critical eye toward active use & lifetime value
Collaborate with other product designers to drive alignment and consistency across the entire user experience
Challenge established patterns and discover new ways of problem-solving, all while being a clear and effective communicator
Provide mentorship and design feedback to other design team members
Serve on the Staff Product Design council to contribute to design team culture and initiatives, as well as maintain and upgrade the design system
What You’ll Bring
7+ years of Product Design experience
Mastery of your craft including driving UX research, strong visual & interaction design skills, prototyping, and UX best practices
A desire and willingness to experiment and take big swings, explore new approaches that leverage the latest in AI, and optimize with methods like A/B testing
Experience with systems thinking and leading design projects that span multiple feature teams and product lines in collaboration with their respective PMs, engineers, designers and researchers
Experience partnering outside of product with teams such as data science, customer support and business strategy to fully understand the problem, opportunity and business implications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Low ego and open-mindedness

The full salary range* for this role is $145,100 to $181,400 to $217,700 CAD.Please note there are a separate set of salary bands for other regions based on local currency.
*We aim to hire all candidates between the minimum and the midpoint of the full salary range. We reserve the midpoint to the maximum of the salary band for internal employees who demonstrate sustained high performance and impact at Clio. The final offer amount for this role will be dependent on individual experience and skillset of the candidate. Please note there are a separate set of salary bands for other regions based on local currency.
