Your role will involve championing and executing top-notch practices across our entire application ecosystem, from configuring networks and maintaining physical servers in our data centers to managing our VMWare and OMNI clusters and implementing robust monitoring solutions. What you’ll be doing
  • Network Configuration and Maintenance: Ensure high reliability and redundancy in network configurations, including VPNs, to support seamless operations.

  • Virtualization Cluster Management: Set up, maintain, and tune our VMWare and OMNI clusters for optimal performance and efficiency.

  • Physical Hardware Installation and Maintenance: Install and maintain servers, switches, VPNs, and more, ensuring high uptime and robust security configurations.

  • Infrastructure as code and Cloud operations: Design full infrastructure as code deployments, configure our services with Ansible, and participate in basic kubernets and cloud integration.

  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Implement comprehensive monitoring solutions and promptly address any issues to maintain system health and performance.

  • Backup and Recovery: Develop and manage backup and recovery procedures to protect critical data and ensure business continuity.

What you’ll need for that
  • Network Management: Proficiency in configuring and maintaining networks, including VPNs, VLANs, firewall solutions, and network segmentation. A strong emphasis on ensuring reliability and redundancy to maintain uninterrupted network performance and security.

  • Hardware Expertise: Experience in installing and maintaining physical servers, switches, and other hardware components, with a strong emphasis on uptime and security.

  • System Administration: Expertise in managing Linux operating systems (especially Ubuntu) and Active Directory integration. Basic knowledge of Windows Server environments is a plus.

  • VMWare Proficiency: Skilled in setting up, maintaining, and tuning VMWare clusters for optimal performance.

  • Cloud and Containerization Affinity: Understanding of cloud concepts and containerization.

  • Monitoring Solutions: Knowledge of implementing and managing monitoring tools to ensure system health.

  • Backup and Recovery Management: Ability to develop and manage effective backup and recovery procedures.

  • Troubleshooting: Strong problem-solving skills to quickly address and resolve system issues.

  • Security Focus: Understanding of security best practices for both physical and virtual environments.

  • Team Collaboration: Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with application and platform teams.

  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

The product lines at Sensys Gatso consists of three products Flux, Puls and XIlium. Flux is the part that is placed at the roadside and acts as an edge device in a distributed traffic enforcement system, including both soft- and hardware. Puls is the data backend where data from roadside systems is collected, analyzed and enriched. Xilium acts as the frontend where processing on violations is handled. The products are all written using modern technologies and frameworks including containerization with Docker and management using Kubernetes. Flux and Puls are mainly written in golang whereas Xilium as an enterprise software is Java based.

Each product has their own dedicated product manager, and together they form the foundation of a strong product driven development team.
