Requirements
The role
We are looking for individuals who are not only passionate about our mission but also comfortable and confident using cutting-edge technologies and AI tools, to streamline processes, drive innovation, and contribute to the growth of Vestd.
This role will join our growing India team to support the Analytical Support Team Lead in the development and execution of share-based payments for financial reporting purposes.
The primary responsibilities of this role
We cannot provide an exhaustive list of duties; additional duties will arise, but the following will be core elements of this role:
- Take ownership of preparing and reviewing share-based payment valuations in compliance with accounting standards, including (but not limited to) FRS102, IFRS2, ASC718
- Build, maintain, and refine workbooks, models, and reports for accurate and efficient share-based payment calculations
- Lead the training of team members in the area of share-based payments
- Guide the development of processes and assets used in the financial reporting process to ensure consistency and accuracy
- Continued professional development to stay updated on industry trends and standards, proactively enhancing valuation methodologies and processes
- Collaborate with customers when required to understand their unique needs and provide expert guidance on share-based payments and related issues
- Contribute to a collaborative startup environment, embracing diverse responsibilities and initiatives that support team success
- Drive continuous improvements across the organisation, optimising processes to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency
Essential elements for this role
These are the skills and qualifications we consider essential for this role:
- 5+ years of experience in share-based payments for financial reporting
- Experience leading and managing a team
- Demonstrated ability to work in dynamic, fast-paced, and evolving environments, ideally within startups or high-growth companies
- Strong interpersonal skills, and ability to influence others
- You must be comfortable with working in a fully remote environment
- Proficiency in financial modelling, analysis and valuation methodologies with advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills (macros, scripts, etc.
- Familiarity with tools like Slack, HubSpot and data platforms like Capital IQ
- Self-starter mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and a collaborative spirit
- Professional-level communication skills, both written and verbal, in English
- High level of attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines while managing competing priorities
- Sound IT skills
- Preference to work in a dynamic and ever-changing environment
Nice to have
These will help you stand out from the pack:
- Experience with SaaS platforms and familiarity with startup operations
- CFA/CA/MBA or equivalent certification, focusing on financial or valuation expertise
- Other analytical experience within a customer led environment
- Analytical expertise in customer-facing or cross-functional environments
- Knowledge of shares and share schemes
