Job description

Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented QA Engineer to join their team.

As a QA Engineer, you will assist our automated tester in creating Selenium tests written in Java. You will also perform manual tests to support our manual testing effort across multiple products.

Key Responsibilities:

Work under moderate guidance and direction, using standard procedures to make sound decisions
Translate existing manual test cases or scripts into automated tests through the review of test plans, business requirements, functional requirements, and technical specifications
Participate in software design and review sessions to ensure test plans align with business requirements
Develop and maintain test automation components
Execute test plans, record and report results, assist with analyzing test results, and provide root-cause analysis for problems encountered during testing
Prepare and acquire test data, conduct peer reviews of test work products
Participate in special projects as requested
Prepare for and participate in testing activities for production deployments and remediation

Qualifications:

Associates degree and 4 years of related work experience OR Bachelors degree and 2 years of related work experience
Selenium automation development experience (Java preferred)
Knowledge of Quality Assurance Engineer methodologies and practices
Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and the importance of the QA function within the framework
Familiarity with computer hardware and software, operating systems, browsers, Internet navigation, and downloading/installing software
Knowledge of multiple software development methodologies such as Waterfall, Iterative, Agile, and Behavior-driven development
Experience with test case management and execution using test management tools
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Azure, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
