Job title – Associate, Vendor Management

Location: Noida, Uttar Pradesh (preferred). Candidates from other locations in India will be considered if suitable.

About this role:

The Associate, Vendor Management oversees production-vendor operations within the vendor management team. Reporting to the Senior Vendor Manager, they help achieve KPIs by managing vendor performance, quality, and efficiency. They share responsibility for daily vendor management, ensuring high performance and adherence to SLAs and production targets. Collaborating with Content Operations and Publishing teams, they maintain strong, business-critical relationships with vendors to support operational excellence.

How you will make an impact:

KPI Delivery:

  • Support monitoring of vendor performance and adherence to SLAs/KPIs (quality and speed).
  • Attend regular vendor calls and address or escalate queries, ensuring timely communication.
  • Assist in improving quality and turnaround times under the Senior Vendor Manager’s guidance.
  • Keep documentation updated and escalate performance issues as needed.

Workflow Improvements:

  • Help implement standardized production workflows with vendors.
  • Gather vendor feedback on workflow changes and escalate concerns for resolution.

Vendor Management:

  • Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with vendor teams.
  • Complete regular reporting and data analysis to track performance.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of operations experience in academic publishing
  • Proven experience managing vendor performance and output
  • Strong background in scholarly publishing
  • Excellent operational, analytical, and relationship management skills
  • Collaborative working style and project management experience
  • Understanding of publishing and vendor workflows, particularly in journal publishing at Wiley
