Role: The Developer Tech Lead (Java/React) reports to the Manager, Software Development and works closely with the Director, Product Owner and Team Lead. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring a transparent communication channel where team concerns are promptly addressed. Collaborate in identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions to uplift team morale, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Equisoft / Design is a powerful configuration and release management tool built for cost-effective implementations. Our tool helps carriers to accelerate product development, speed-to-market, reduce configuration errors, improves quality through debugging and functional testing capabilities. Our release management capabilities provide insurance companies with a platform for managing the release process, including version control, testing and deployment.
Your Day With Equisoft
- Participate in the elaboration of the technological vision and promote it to the development team
- Support the director in assigning resources, the development team’s objectives and ensuring their achievement
- Evaluate and recommend the appropriate technologies that meets the needs of the organization and actively promote them to the team
- Determine the architecture orientations, ensure that they are respected and sustained as well as collaborate in the development of its applications
- Act as a mentor and technical expert within the development community
- Ensure that the work conforms to the development standards in terms of process, code quality and the architecture
- Identify and develop the potential projects and opportunities that meet research and development (SR&ED) criteria
- Participate or lead the sprint retroaction sessions
Recruiting and Integration
- Actively participate in the selection and interview process,
- Participate in the integration plan and ensure that new employees receive the necessary support and training to meet the positions’ requirements as prescribed by the development manager.
- Participate in the feedback of the technical employee's performance in collaboration with manager.
- Adhere to the Equisoft best practices
Skills Development And Training
- Identify the weaknesses and suggest areas of improvement in the team
- Motivate team members, ensure their good performance and actively contribute to the attainment of the deliverables of the team
- Deliver or participate in training sessions to help with the integration of new knowledge and the development of the team’s expertise
- Ensure the company’s policies, as well as the standards and best practices are respected
Requirements:
Technical
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or Information Technology or College Diploma
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in software development.
- Excellent knowledge of Typescript, JavaScript, React, PHP, Java 11 +
- Strong knowledge of Redux, NPM, React Native, Electron, RESTful API, GraphQL
- Good knowledge related to mobile and frameworks
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Analytical skills and problem solving
- Self-Discipline and a sense of responsibility as well as the capacity to adapt easily
- Advanced knowledge of SDLC with relevant infrastructure
- Passion for software development in an Agile environment
- Excellent knowledge of French & English (spoken and written)

- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate, write and synthesize information.
