Job Overview

Join our dedicated team at Compass Health Network as a Medical Assistant/Nurse LPN, where you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate and quality healthcare services to the communities we serve. We are currently offering a \(3,000 sign-on bonus for Medical Assistants and an additional \)3,000 for Nurses, reflecting our commitment to attracting top talent in critical service areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate patient intake by bringing them from the waiting area and completing essential documentation, including vitals, medication history, and quality measures in the EMR.
  • Provide patients with end-of-visit materials such as lab results and educational resources on new medications.
  • Conduct lab tests as prescribed by clinicians, including immunizations and venipunctures, while assisting with examinations and minor procedures.
  • Manage patient-related communications, including returning calls and coordinating with pharmacies under clinician guidance.
  • Support assigned clinicians with case management, lab results, and medication refills.
  • Maintain accurate logs for Vaccines for Children (VFC) as designated by the Supervisor.
  • Administer injections as ordered by the provider and perform face-to-face consultations during scheduled appointments.
  • Uphold clinic standards and ensure all tasks align with NCQA Patient Center Medical Home Standards.

Required Skills

  • Familiarity with medical office terminology, procedures, and equipment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and delivering high-quality care.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of one year of experience is preferred; however, we are willing to train recent Medical Assistant graduates.
  • A Practical Nursing certificate is required for Nurse LPN candidates.
  • Medical Assistant Certification or LPN/GPN with the requirement to pass the MO NCLEX exam within 90 days of graduation.
  • CPR certification is required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
