Job description

Licensed Psychologist – Make a Meaningful Impact Every Day

At Action Behavior Centers (ABC), we’re on a mission to empower children and families impacted by autism. We’re looking for a skilled and compassionate Licensed Psychologist to lead evaluation services in the Chicago area. If you’re passionate about helping families find answers, thrive in a collaborative environment, and want to make a difference, this could be the perfect fit for you.

Your Role as a Licensed Psychologist

As part of our team, you’ll play a critical role in evaluating and diagnosing autism and other developmental disorders. Your work will directly impact children’s lives by helping families access the care and support they need.

Here’s What You’ll Do

  • Conduct Comprehensive Evaluations: Utilize standardized tools like ADOS-2, Vineland-3, and others to assess children suspected of having autism. (Don’t worry—we’ll provide training if needed.)
  • Deliver Clear Insights: Write detailed diagnostic reports that guide families and our clinical team.
  • Flexibility in Your Day: Assessments and report writing can be done remotely when appropriate.

What Makes You a Great Fit:

  • A completed Doctorate in clinical, counseling, or school psychology and full licensure as a Licensed Psychologist in IL.
  • Expertise in psychological assessments for children, with a strong focus on evaluating autism and developmental differences.
  • A solid understanding of developmental disorders and related differential diagnoses.
  • Outstanding written communication skills with an eye for detail.
  • A natural ability to connect with children and families, helping them feel at ease throughout the process.

Why You’ll Love Working at ABC:

At ABC, We Believe In Supporting Our Team Just As Much As We Support The Families We Serve. Here’s What You Can Expect

  • Opportunities to Grow: Professional development is part of our DNA. You’ll benefit from extensive training, leadership events, and team-building opportunities.
  • Comprehensive Benefits:
    • Up to 25 paid days off per year for work-life balance.
    • Student loan repayment assistance and family leave awards of up to $3,000.
    • Subscriptions for wellness services like the Calm app and convenience perks like DoorDash.
    • A 401(k) with company matching to plan for your future.
  • Join a Purpose-Driven Team: Since 2017, ABC has grown from one center in Austin, TX, to a network of thousands of teammates serving children across the country. We stay grounded in our core values of learning, teamwork, excellence, and care.
Be Part of a Team That Changes Lives

When you join ABC, you’re not just taking on a job—you’re joining a mission-driven community that values your expertise and dedication. Together, we’ll help children and their families achieve their goals.

If this sounds like the role you’ve been looking for, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today to start your journey with ABC!
