About this Role

The Employee Experience and HR Specialist is a vital contributor to creating an exceptional workplace at Deciphex. This role blends expertise in employee relations, experience design, engagement, and HR administration to foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work environment. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will support employees and managers with care, professionalism, and confidentiality while championing Deciphex’s no-ego, adaptable, and resilient culture. You will design and implement initiatives that enhance the employee journey, resolve workplace concerns, and contribute to Deciphex’s growth as a people-first organization.

 

Responsibilities

  • Employee Experience & Engagement: Develop and deliver programs for onboarding, recognition, and development; organize well-being and team-building activities; and support managers in successfully integrating new hires.
  • Employee Relations: Act as the first point of contact for employee concerns or issues, manage workplace conflicts, and ensure compliance with company values and employment laws.
  • Communication: Deliver clear, consistent updates and messaging across the organization, support leadership communications, and facilitate regular communication across all levels to promote open dialogue.
  • HR Administration & Support: Manage employee records and HR systems (e.g., BambooHR), support performance reviews and goal-setting processes, and prepare reports on engagement and employee relations.
  • Policy & Continuous Improvement: Ensure compliance with global company policies;  updating as necessary, roll out diversity and well-being initiatives, and contribute to process improvements that enhance Deciphex as a workplace.

This role will require you to be hands-on and adaptable, taking ownership of day-to-day HR tasks while contributing to long-term HR strategy.

 

Required  Skills & Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in HR or a related role, focusing on employee engagement or relations.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., BambooHR) and HR analytics.
  • Experience in a start-up or high-growth organization is a plus.
  • Exceptional People Skills: Empathetic, approachable, and able to build trust and rapport across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong Communication: Clear, concise, and adaptable communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Conflict Resolution Expertise: Skilled in navigating sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion.
  • Cultural Awareness: Ability to foster inclusivity and promote a values-driven workplace.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Flexible Approach: Ability to remain highly effective and flexible in changing business circumstances
