Position Title: Engineer, Middleware Development
$90,000 to $150,000 annually DOE

Job Summary
As a Middleware Development Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing,
monitoring, and deploying middleware solutions as well as suggesting and making changes within
middleware to meet requirements from internal business units in support of projects. You will work
closely with developers and business units who rely on these tools to support our customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Actively and continually support and simplify the customer experience through automation,
superior support services and building a customer friendly and focused team.
• Identify patterns in legacy / existing APIs in order to streamline, improve, and migrate into an
architecture standard.
• Extensively document newly developed APIs and support testing team through development and
deployment into our dev and production environment
• Lead discussions with development teams to support changing architecture and new
development requirements.
• Meet with various stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities, while being challenged with
creating new undefined processes, resolutions and continually looking to simplify and improve the
company’s ability to provide superior services.
• Proactively recommend, lead, and sponsor new development and migration activities.
• Listen and interpret the needs of the business unit team members.
• Must be available to work regular business hours Pacific Standard Time.
• Must also be available to work on-call, evenings and weekends as needed.
• Performs other duties as required to support the business and evolving organization.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in developing enterprise grade integration solutions
using a variety of commercial and open source.
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in designing and developing SOAP Services and REST
API's.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of experience supporting, troubleshooting, deploying and developing
APIs in Kong, Tibco, Apigee, and/or other application suite.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of experience troubleshooting API issues including checking for API
failures, identifying the points of failure, and communicating those failures to the proper
application owners.
• Minimum of seven (7) years experience providing support of XML, XSD, JSON, GraphQL and
related technologies including troubleshooting and developing both front and back end API calls.
• Minimum of ten (10) years experience in supporting API testing in environments using postman or
other similar applications.

Work Environment
Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a
computer, keyboard, mouse, and multi-line telephone system. The work is primarily a modern office
setting.
