Job description

This is a remote position.

Key Job Purpose
The Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for helping our employees advance their skills and knowledge through creating, conducting, implementing training programs and overseeing the development of careers within the organization by executing the end-to-end TOP training program, including logistics for training content and activities, venues, equipment, and result assessment.

Job Summary
In this role, the Learning & Development Specialist identifies training needs for both client-facing and internal operations, based on skills gap analyses, developing group and individual learning courses, conducting training courses, and managing the success of the company’s ground-breaking and unique training & development program.

The Learning & Development Specialist ensures that the learning activities are engaging and contain compelling course content that enhances retention of employees and contributes to client growth. It is expected that the designed training curricula is implemented effectively and conducted with purposeful training methods, drive brand values and philosophy through all training and development activities.

Aside from that, the Learning & Development Specialist will periodically assess employees’ skills, performance and productivity to identify areas of improvement.

The effectiveness of the role is measured through the success of the training program. The Learning & Development Specialist provides valuable insights to the effectiveness of the training program through the development and implementation of Learning & Development Key Performance Indicators.

The duties and responsibilities of the Learning & Development Specialist include:

  • Identifying and assessing the training needs of the organization through job analysis, career paths, and consultation with managers
  • Developing and implementing learning strategies and programs
  • Designing e-learning courses, workshops and other trainings
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of training programs and recommending improvements
  • Maintaining updated curriculum database and training records
  • Managing and maintaining in-house training facilities and equipment
  • Researching and recommending new training methods, like gamification
  • Collaborating with various stakeholders including managers, subject matter experts, and external vendors to design, develop, and deliver high-impact learning solutions
  • Conducting follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results
  • Keeping up-to-date with developments in learning and development by reading relevant journals, going to meetings and attending relevant courses


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Human Resources or related field of study
  • Proven experience as a Learning & Development Specialist, Training Facilitator, or similar role
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in project management and budgetting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Experienced working with collaborative tools such as SharePoint, Teams, Planner
  • Strong organizational skills with business-oriented thinking
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Energized and able to captivate others
  • Self-motivated and independent
  • Good time management skills; able to prioritize
  • Self-driven and proactive nature.
