Job description

*This is a fully remote position.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist fills a role intended to ensure accurate, timely, streamlined, and consistent outcomes in the support of hiring managers across the organization. It is the responsibility of this role to ensure job requisitions are posted, advertised, and managed throughout the job offer process. The Talent Acquisition Specialist might be asked to draft either short- or long-term recruiting plans in collaboration and coordination with HR management and the business units. The Talent Acquisition Specialist develops recruiting outreach to generate interest in S&K positions using all approved venues and posting sites. Depending on the workload, the Talent Acquisition Specialist may conduct phone screens to ensure fully qualified applicants are available for selection and other outreach activities as needed. This position is responsible for compiling data and ensuring the organization is prepared for the annual Affirmative Action Plans and OFCCP submittals.

Administration:

  • Daily review of each job posting and the related candidate activity to gauge necessary steps to either bring the REQ to closure or be able to generate additional talent to fill the job. 
  •  Manage end-to-end recruitment activity including sourcing, screening questions, interviewing, hire offer, and ensuring acceptance as requested. 
  • Cultivates pipelines of qualified candidates and increases S&K’s talent pipeline, which includes outreach efforts as requested. Measures the growth of the talent pool and strives to increase and expand access to needed talent.
  • Works with the hiring manager to develop recruiting strategies and outreach to deliver effective quality outcomes when the company wins new contracts. This can include contingent postings as well as high demand for key personnel.
  • Supports diverse talent management initiatives to meet affirmative action goals. 
  • Develops and builds on an established network of agency vendors who can be quickly activated to support a variety of recruitment needs at an approved cost to the organization. Must maintain and report on OFCCP standards of tracking and documenting outreach.
  • Create and implement approved processes allowing candidates to experience a seamless and friendly experience at each stage of recruitment.
  • Ensure proper use of the Recruitment Referral Program and ensure timely payment to employees who refer talent hired by S&K. Submits a monthly report on referral progress.
  • Responsible to kick off the hiring process, ensure accurate and correct new hire offers are extended and returned in time. 
  • This role will need to effectively communicate with both new hires and other team members to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
  • Creates, maintains, and consistently utilizes standardized work processes.
  • Keeping track of multiple new hires and ensuring all requisitions are properly dispositioned at each stage of the hiring process.
  • Supporting the SHRG’s during the onboarding handoff means you will need to be approachable and helpful.
  • Ensured the completion and accuracy of dispositions of all candidates.
  • Ensures accurate and professionally written offer letters for all candidates and notifies departments with JOR or portal sender.

Compliance, Communication and Reporting:

  • Reviews and monitors compliance/regulatory activity to stay updated on all job posting, pay transparency, and benefit notice for all posted positions and uses approved tag lines and benefit disclosures.

  • Collects and reports on identified monthly recruitment metrics.

  • Other work tasks as assigned.

Education

  • Associate degree in HR or related field required or exchange HR recruitment experience for each year of school (Two (2) year degree or Two (2) years of direct experience)

Experience

  • Requires a minimum of one (1) year of experience in multi-state full cycle recruitment where responsible for using job boards, social media, resume databases, and search engines to generate active or passive candidates 
  • ADP Talent Acquisition Module experience preferred

Licenses/ Certification/ Registration

  • PHR or SHRM/TA certification strongly preferred 
  • Valid and unencumbered Drivers’ License if required to drive for the job

Special knowledge, skills, & abilities required

  • Strong analytical and administrations skills coupled with a positive approach.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with all levels of management.
  • Advanced computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Proven expertise in job description design and development and design of interview questions that reflect each position’s requirements.
  • Experience organizing virtual career fairs with proven metrics and outcomes.
  • Proactive self-starter with focus and commitment towards getting the job done.
  • Reliable, consistent, hard-working, and trustworthy.
  • Effective communication with diverse audiences and at all levels of management.
  • Direct experience in use of sourcing tools and working cross functionally with others.
  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and local employment laws and regulations.
