Roles & Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate effectively, and provide leadership in guiding data architecture decisions.
· Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions for AWS/Azure cloud environments.
· Build data warehouse requirements, defining the requirements for the data warehouse, and support related data migration efforts.
· Develop data management strategy, directives, policies, procedures, and standards for information exchange.
· Enhance existing data governance policies, standards and processes to account for emerging cloud native and AI technologies.
· Develop data architecture in alignment with federal EA standards and maintain data architecture artifacts such as: conceptual, logical and physical data models.
· Provide input to the application portfolio management process at the data layer

Education/Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, data science, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in design, analysis, and implementation of data architectures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex data-related challenges. (required).
- Advanced knowledge of enterprise federal architecture standards such as: FEA, DoDAF, etc
- Expertise in designing and implementing data models, databases, and data warehouses in a cloud environment.
- Knowledge of data migration strategies.
- Knowledge of APIs and industry standard data formats for data exchange.
- Familiarity with cloud native data pipeline patterns.
- Experience designing and optimizing ETL processes
- Knowledge of data security best practices and experience implementing data governance and compliance measures in a cloud environment.
- Knowledge of FISMA compliance standards for federal IT systems such as NIST 800-83 and NIST RMF
- Expert knowledge in data safeguarding techniques such as encryption, honey pots, layered access controls, etc.
- Knowledge of methods for initiating and sustaining clean data practices across large system deployments with multiple interconnections with external systems.
