Position Summary

The Data Services Data Quality Assurance (DQA) Leader plays a critical role in overseeing daily production processes to ensure quality and turnaround targets are met efficiently. This position requires leadership in resolving production issues, managing resources, and driving process improvement initiatives. The DQA Leader is also responsible for overseeing a sub-team, monitoring key projects, and communicating risks and successes to leadership.

Key Accountabilities

Production Management:

  • Prioritize tasks across shifts to meet production and quality standards.
  • Address escalations, including customer quality issues and advanced support concerns.
  • Collaborate with support teams to resolve customer inquiries.
  • Monitor dashboards and escalate issues as needed.
  • Create high-priority tickets and manage server-related tasks.
  • Allocate resources for maximum efficiency.

Production Supervision:

  • Ensure adherence to established processes for timely and quality-driven study processing.
  • Conduct daily stand-ups to communicate objectives and delegate tasks.
  • Monitor and adjust staffing levels to meet production demands.
  • Support team members with task completion and problem-solving.
  • Maintain communication with internal and external stakeholders regarding process updates and risks.

Process Improvement:

  • Evaluate and implement process and training enhancements.
  • Assist in developing and rolling out new workflows or procedures.
  • Lead improvement initiatives in collaboration with engineering and other teams.
  • Oversee new feature rollouts and ensure consistent project delivery.

Team Leadership:

  • Own and lead sub-teams, including meeting facilitation, goal setting, and metric tracking.
  • Provide mentorship and individual feedback to team members.
  • Drive cost-saving and quality improvement initiatives.

Customer and Support Liaison:

  • Assist with resolving customer quality issues and updating internal support cases.
  • Communicate directly with customers to address concerns and recommend solutions.
Skills/Qualifications

  • Leadership skills to mentor, motivate, and inspire teams.
  • Clear and concise communication, both internally and externally.
  • Problem-solving expertise with attention to detail.
  • Process-driven mindset with the ability to articulate and resolve issues effectively.
  • Proficiency in teaching and training on products and processes.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team setting.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education is an asset).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Senior Data Quality Assurance Administrator.
  • Proven experience leading teams in a production environment.
