About the Role
Donegal Insurance Group has an opening for a Claims Supervisor to join our Marietta, Pennsylvania office. We are seeking an experienced Claims Supervisor with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of claims management experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical claims handling skills and the ability to supervise and provide leadership to the claims department. We are looking for a results-oriented claims professional with strong investigative skills and the ability to deliver quality claims service in a cost effective manner. Responsibilities and Duties
- Supervise staff Claim Representatives on their handling of claims
- Supervise Independent Adjusters and Experts on their handling of claims
- Train, educate, and develop assigned staff
- Monitor workloads of assigned staff
- Evaluate staff Claim Representatives and clerical personnel and make recommendations for their salary/wage reviews
- Make Recommendations on hiring and terminating assigned staff
Qualifications and Skills
- 3 to 5 years of Insurance or Insurance related experience, experience within Property claims preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree with a background in insurance
Starting Pay: The pay range for this position is $75,000 to $100,000 annually. The specific offer will vary based on an applicant's education, qualifications, professional experience, skills, abilities, and any applicable designations/certifications. The posted pay range reflects our ability to hire at different position titles and levels depending on background and experience. The pay range may also be adjusted based on an applicant's geographic location.
The base pay is just one component of Donegal's total compensation package for employees. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
