Location: United States (remote-based)

Job Salary: $56,000-$93,500 + Bonus

Job Title: Sr. Image Service Coordinator (Full-time, permanent)

Department: Medical Imaging

Job Summary:

Responsible for assisting in the execution of all Image Services activities ensuring focus on data integrity and reliability in accordance with standard processes, sponsor guidelines, industry best practices and regulatory standards. Provide image collection expertise to stakeholders in areas of data collection and user system operations. Will require availability to work shifts, statutory holidays and provide on-call support from time to time

The ideal candidate should have 1-3+ years of hands-on experience in cross sectional imaging, with a strong focus on Ultrasound or MRI and/or MRE data acquisition, image anonymization and quality control processing, demonstrate proficiency in DICOM imaging software and tools, and have a proven track record of effectively interacting with clinical sites for image acquisition and data management. Experience in providing technical support to clinical sites and troubleshooting imaging issues is preferred in this role.

Project Support
  • Lead or assist in Image Services’ activities from study start-up through final study close out, including but not limited to:
  • - Verification of study server and external storage device
    - Creation and Maintenance of study-specific Work Instructions
    - Tracking of study-specific training, and user system access
    - Performance of periodic file reviews
    - Reconciliation and transfer of study images at study close.
  • Participate in internal and sponsor meetings as required, working directly with the assigned project manager, data manager and team to provide Image Services support.
  • Ensure study documentation is maintained and properly stored in the trial master files.
  • Provide ongoing customer service support to internal and external customers, and act as the first escalation point for the resolution of project and sponsor related issues.
  • Perform regular quality assurance activities, checking for completeness and accuracy, ensuring all SOP guidelines and industry best practices are met.
  • Ensure documents are recorded, filed and maintained in accordance with project and regulatory guidelines.

  • Department Support
  • Assist with image collection activities ensuring focus on data integrity and stakeholder support, including escalation where applicable, in accordance with standard processes, sponsor guidelines, industry best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Provide image collection expertise to stakeholders in areas of data collection and user system operations, specializing in areas where applicable and relevant.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Image Services and the wider organization through information sharing, training and education.
  • Promote and be an advocate of Image Services internally and externally.
  • Mentor and/or train peers, contribute to peer selection and orientation.
  • Participate in the development, review and implementation of processes, policies, SOPs/WI's and associate documents affecting Image Services.
  • May participate in Image Services and cross functional working groups and contribute to the implementation of new technologies and process improvement.
  • May participate and support sponsor or internal audit preparation and conduct.
  • Provide support as needed towards system validation efforts.

  • Qualifications
  • Applicants should have a minimum of one to three years of related work experience with ongoing training and a College Diploma/Degree, or a minimum of one or two-year post-secondary education certificate in a relevant field of study and four to six years of experience. The successful candidate must exhibit the following skills: Knowledge of clinical research, ability to work independently, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a cross-functional environment.
