PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking a Software Engineering Manager to manage small engineering teams to ensure products/features are delivered on time and with high quality. Working closely with the development, QA, and product teams, the Software Engineering Manager will coordinate all aspects of deliverables.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:People Manager for a team of Software Engineers, including task planning, code reviews, recruitment, performance management, and other management responsibilitiesMentor and guide developers in best practices and coding standards. Your task will be to lead a high functioning and productive team of developers and senior developers in the accomplishment of the overall departmental goalsDrive automated unit testing with engineers to reduce need for manual testingCoach each member of the team(s) to excel in their role and build them a career pathDevelop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibilityDrive all aspects of development including requirements gathering, design, appropriate technologies, implementation, coding standards, testing, and integration to ensure high quality deliverables.Work closely with the Product Management team to understand and deliver product features in keeping with the Product roadmapGuide senior engineers to become subject matter experts in areas of the applicationLead innovation and keep abreast of technology industry trends, solutions, standards, and methodologiesCollaborate with other departments and be willing to tackle any engineering tasks that contribute to the progress towards the goals of the team and the companyCreate an inspiring, innovative and highly productive team environment with an open communication cultureKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESExperience developing and testing enterprise systemsMobile device testing knowledge is an assetWorking knowledge of various programming languages such as C#, .NET, .NET Core, JavaScript, and Angular/TypescriptMS SQL Server, SQL, store procedures, etc.Agile and scrum process knowledgeKnowledge of object-oriented programming and scripting languagesAbility to work with technology and grasp new concepts quicklyHigh level of professionalismAbility to work with a diverse team under dynamic settingsGood oral and written communication skillsStrong multi-tasking abilityEnergy and sense of urgencyVery detail oriented and able to deliver quality software within timelines5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer with Saas applications5+ years of experience with .NET Core, .Net Framework or equivalentQUALIFICATIONS AND CHARACTERISTICS OF AN IDEAL CANDIDATE:University Degree in a relevant technical field; combination of experience and education may be substitutedExperience mentoring and leading groups of engineersEHSQ&S Industry experience is preferredCority is committed to a diverse and inclusive work environment.
