Title: Senior Systems Administrator/Systems Engineer

Location: Mostly remote - some onsite work may be required to deploy new hardware - San Jose, CA

Description: Our client is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator/Systems Engineer to join their robust IT team and provide technical support and assistance to senior system administrators and support staff across various technology domains, including Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, PKI, Microsoft Networking Infrastructure, and VMware Virtual Infrastructure. Manage virtual server environments utilizing platforms such as VxRail, Lenovo, and Azure-based virtual machines. Act as the technical lead for a data migration project, transferring data from one system to designated compute and storage resources.

What You Will Do:

Provide technical support and expertise across technology domains, including Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, PKI, Microsoft Networking Infrastructure, and VMware Virtual Infrastructure.
Manage and maintain virtual server environments on platforms such as VxRail, Lenovo, and Azure-based virtual machines.
Serve as the technical lead for a data migration project, ensuring the successful transfer of data to designated compute and storage resources.
Collaborate with senior system administrators and support staff to troubleshoot and optimize IT infrastructure.
Contribute to the development and implementation of best practices for system operations and data management.

You Will Be Successful If:

Strong expertise in system administration and engineering, particularly with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, PKI, and VMware Virtual Infrastructure.
Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting virtual server environments on platforms such as VxRail, Lenovo, and Azure-based virtual machines.
In-depth knowledge of hardware solutions, including Storage Area Networks (SAN), Dell PowerScale, and Dell VxRail.
Proven experience leading technical projects, including data migration efforts, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with senior infrastructure engineers and support staff.
A proactive approach to staying updated on the latest IT infrastructure trends and technologies.
