The Conference Assistant position resides in the Conferences department at SCTE. This department showcases the profiles of our members, our reputation as a neutral partner, a place for innovation and the value membership provides. Our team plays a crucial role in creating events that bring the industry together to learn, collaborate, explore and connect with each other and the organization.

 

Why This Role Is Exciting

After this internship, you will understand the end-to-end process of planning and organizing the largest broadband event in North America. You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced event professionals to understand the nuances of event management with a focus on operations.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Preparation of sponsor materials and track deliverables.
  • Manage and update content on the exhibitor directory and sponsor sections of the event website.
  • Assist with mobile app updating, testing and prepping for launch
  • Conduct a usage audit by collaborating with the Exhibitor Manager and registration team to ensure proper allocation of exhibitor registrations. Generate reports and flag any misuse.
  • Work closely with Operations Managers to implement and oversee exhibition floor activations, including lounges and networking areas, ensuring seamless execution and engagement.
Qualifications

  • Pursing a bachelor’s degree in events management and/or hospitality
  • Expert in Microsoft Office
  • Attention to detail

 

What Will Set You Apart

  • Prior events experience paid or unpaid
  • Experience working with customers.
  • Ability to work through September 30, 2025
