Sr. Application Developer

Description

Position Summary: The Senior Application Developer serves as the technical expert on complex applications development work assignments and problems. This position serves as a staff specialist on our systems and is normally responsible for the entire life cycle of an application to include analysis, coding, testing, and documentation. The Senior Applications Developer applies significant professional experience and training in information technology and computer programming to the analysis, design, modification, and maintenance of application programs, integrated systems, and/or software solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Develop programming code and software modifications using appropriate languages and tools to provide responsive and innovative solutions, and new functionality
• Write documentation to provide user support for programs and for productions/operating procedures
• Develop, maintain and support associated databases
• Analyze user system and application needs, determine and evaluate potential solutions, develop system specifications and requirements, and design application programs to meet the requirements
• Research, analyze and evaluate current technical trends, emerging technologies and standards, new software functionality, and alternative software solutions
• Analyze data requirements, develop and document data dictionary, and develop data models
• Maintaining MedEvolve’s existing product versions and collaborate on future product versions
• Supports and develops other members of the team by providing mentorship and training
• Contribute to team meetings that determine future development on existing products and new products
• Provide training to the development team on various technologies and techniques

Qualifications

Education and Experience Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with
• 5 years of experience with Rapid Application Development environments such as Delphi, Visual Basic, or C#
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Or 9 years of experience

Required Qualifications:

• Experience with Microsoft SQL
• Project life cycle management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of medical billing, practice management software, and/or electronic health records
